About Clara
Clara is a professional pianist and collaborative artist currently furthering her piano studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in piano performance under the tutelage of Associate Professor Stephanie McCallum, David Howie and piano pedagogy under Clemens Leske. She received her ACTL (Associate of Trinity College London) piano diploma certificate in 2021 and has since become well versed with musical learning systems having accompanied many students for AMEB examinations and successfully prepared students of differing ages and levels for Trinity examinations.
She began her musical studies at the age of 5 and has since performed for school events and competed successfully in various competitions. During her studies in Indonesia, where she was previously based, Clara received first prize for the 2017 & 2018 Essex Indonesia Piano Competition as well as second prize for the 2018 SEGi Young Musicians Piano Competition. She was a finalist for the 2020 Hong Kong International Youth Performing Arts Festival and also semi-finalist for the 2020 Feurich Southeast Asia Piano Compeition.
As a frequent performer, Clara also received the highly commended Diamond Award at the 2017 Indonesia National Piano Festival and at the 2020 Indonesia Online Music Festival. Clara is an enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for music and teaching who can adapt to different teaching methods to cater for individual learning. She has experience in not only teaching solo piano but also collaborative piano and music theory while possessing a strong forte in aural and harmony skills.
